Workshop on technological innovation in liver cancer surgery

Healthcare professionals participated in two Living Lab sessions to explore the implementation of an innovative surgical technology for liver cancer treatment.

On 16 and 21 July 2026, the LIVERATION project organised two online workshop sessions focused on technological innovation in liver cancer surgery. A radiologist, two operating room nurses and an anaesthesiologist participated in the sessions.

Participants discussed the usability and acceptability of innovative surgical technologies, their integration into clinical workflows, the training and organisational requirements for their implementation, and the barriers and facilitators that could influence their adoption in routine care.

Their professional experience helped identify practical recommendations to support the safe, effective and person-centred implementation of innovation in liver cancer treatment.
